Analogger

Physical music is having a cultural renaissance.
It has no data layer. Analogger is the fix.

Streaming gives artists everything — play counts, listener geography, repeat behavior, engagement signals. A cassette sale gives them nothing after the point of purchase. The most intimate listening format is the least measurable. Analogger came from that contradiction: physical media is more intimate than streaming, but less measurable.

Physical media is not dying. It is premiumizing. Artists, labels, and fans are investing more in physical releases — not less. That is exactly where new data infrastructure can matter.

A small embedded sled inside the cassette captures playback events, rotation data, usage count, and condition signals. Data is stored locally on the device. Sync happens occasionally via NFC — bring the tape to your phone or a sync point at a record store, venue, or café.

Capture locally. Sync occasionally. Stay low-friction.

B2B

Artists and labels pay to create Analogger-enabled releases. The device cost is absorbed into the release budget — like paying for special packaging.

B2C

Fans receive the experience as part of the object. Collection profiles, play history, condition scores, sync streaks, and collector identity built around physical listening.

The wedge is independent artists. The expansion is label infrastructure.

Can we detect real cassette motion and log a valid play event?
